Em Cosmetics Cheek Play Palette: Coral Temptations

Saturday, January 31, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today I have for you a review on Em Cosmetics Cheek Play Palette in Coral Temptations. This has to be my favorite bronzer and blush palette ever.

The palette comes with bronzer and a blush that has gold sparkle flakes in it. It's so beautiful and when you're in the sun, you just look like a bronzed goddess! I love how it looks in the light an the pink is subtle enough but has enough simmer in it where you will still have that glowy effect.

You can see the gold in the pink from this picture. it doesn't show well but it's also in the bronzer as well. I just wish the bronzer was a litter darker because I have to put more on for my skin tone. Since I already have tan skin, I have to put a little extra on but when I do, it brings out my contour so well. I love this cheek play palette and it definitely makes me want to get more palettes. I get so many compliments when I wear this and it's just wonderful. Although I really need a setting spray so that it lasts longer. It tends to rub off when I use my phone. Have you tried any of these cheek palettes before? Let me know in the comments down below! From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

Em Cosmetics Love Me For Me Foundation and Powder Review: Cafe 20

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today I have a review for you on Em Cosmetics Love Me for Me powder and foundation in the shade cafe 20.

Let me start ff by saying that I love the powder. It is perfect for me and it is perfect for you skin tone. When you go to choose your foundation they even have a picture of someone of that skin tone so you can have an easier match.

Cafe 20

As you can see the powder blends in with my skin easily. You can barely even see it. It's my holy grail when I don't want to put foundation on which I hardly do. The foundation is a little darker than my skin tone but you honestly don't need a lot. A nice, smooth even layer is all you need and with the powder on top, it looks pretty natural.

Here I showed you what it looks like with my bare face, powder, then foundation and powder so you can get a feel of what it looks like on my skin. I don't wear the foundation too often. Probably more so when I want to dress up. It feels very light and airy on my skin. My skin tends to get a little oily though, so I would have to use the powder to fix that up and I find at the end of the day, I don't really have too much foundation too on. I don't know if it's because of the oils on my face naturally, but it does last pretty long. I'm out of the house 8+ hours a day and it looks find throughout the day except for when I get oily again. When I wear the powder by itself, I can't even feel that I have the powder on. That's how smooth and airy that it really is. I love the powder so much that I had to buy another one already. I just love it that much and the compact will last you months! Have you tried this foundation before? Did you like it? Leave me a comment down below and let me know! From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

Em Cosmetics Montego Bay Teals Palette Review

Hey everyone,

Today I have for you a review on Em Cosmetics Montego Bay Teals Palette. This is the only eyeshadow palette that I have and I'm so glad that I got this one.

This palette comes with 6 different shades. They are all shimmery. There are 3 light ones and 3 dark ones. You can make endless possibilities with this palette.

There are no names to the colors so I had to number them. On the back of the palette they have they're own numbers but these were the numbers that I chose to use.

The colors show up very well on my skin tone without a primer and I loved using Michelle's video to use this palette and one of her yellow eyeliners to do her look. It came out very lovely on my eyes and I got a lot of compliments. I highly recommend this palette. The colors are highly pigmented and they lasted all days on my eyes without a palette. I think this is perfect if you want something fresh and blue and you don't mind the shimmer. You can pair with one of her liners to give it more of a pop affect. Have you tried this before, did you like it? Let me know in the comments down below! From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

Em Cosmetics Concealer Palette: Deep Review and Swatches

Saturday, January 24, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today I have for you a review and some swatches of Em Cosmetics Concealer Palette in the shade Deep.

First off I would like to say that the concealer is really smooth and soft on the skin. You can barely feel it there on your face. It blends in smoothly and you even have a little space where you can mix two different shades of the concealer.

There are 6 different shades. A main shade, a lighter one, dark one, neutralizer, and a highlight. My favorite one to use is the main shade because on my skin tone, it covers up with giving a little more brightness. I use the dark to cover up a small vein you can see on my face and any other spots on my face that are redder than other. I light to use the neutralizer when I have more dark circles and I need to cover them up. I use the deep and light shades when I want to contour and highlight. This palette is perfect for my skin tones and I can mix the neutralizer with the main or dark shade to cover up my dark circles. I can even use the dark as a foundation to cover up certain areas as well.

I think this is great for someone of my skin tone but I'm more of a medium deep shade than deep and I was surprised with how well it worked with my skin tone. I'm not sure how it would work on girls who skin tone is deeper than mine for it to be considered a deep palette however. Unless those girls like to keep their face looking brighter however, then I can see how they can make this work. I use this palette everyday and I just adore it. So much that i already bought a second one and I'm almost out of product from that one too. Have you tried this palette before? How were your thoughts on this? Leave a comment down below and let me know! From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

All about the Kittens

Friday, January 23, 2015

Hey everyone,

So today I have for you a post on the cutest Cat themed items that I'm loving. I recently started to explore Etsy and let me tell you, that site has some great and unique things. I simply just searched the words kitten and meow. I wasn't looking for anything specific, I just wanted to browse the sections, so let me show you somethings that I loved!

  • Meow Universkitty Sweatshirt - This is the cutest off the should sweat shirt that I've ever seen! I love it so much and I can see myself wearing it with leggings and a messy bun.

  • Meow is the Time Mug - Anything with the words meow or kitten are great to me. I just love it because it's so simply and cute

  • Silver Crystal Cat Ears - I think Ariana Grande put everyone on the whole Cat Ear trend but this super adorable that you can wear with a messy bun. I think the cat ears are just another added touch that make it look super cute.

Do you like any of the things that I posted? I have a dog but I seem to be in love with anything Kitten related lately. Would you buy any of these things? Leave a comment down below and let me know. From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

How I grew my hair in 30 days

Thursday, January 22, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today I have a post for you sponsored by a company called ZenWise. They provided me a bottle of their 5000mg Biotin Hair growth vitamins that also have loads of other great ingredients to promote hair growth, thicker hair, and it help fight anything that is preventing your hair from growing.

In order for this to work, you have to take the pills twice daily. That means one pill twice a day, everyday, until the bottle is finished. This isn't hard for me. I take one one in the morning after breakfast and I take one at night after dinner. That way I have something in my stomach and it doesn't disrupt anything. The pills are soft and easily digest. You can't even feel it going down your throat.

When I used other hair vitamins in the past that were smaller in dosage, you had to take it 3x a day and on top of that the pills were very large. They worked too but I found comfort with these ones because they are a higher dosage, they are smaller and soft, and they are just easy to swallow.

I've been taking the pills for exactly two weeks and I used the same shirt so you guys can see the progress. As you can see my hair grew by about an inch or two! That's just in two weeks. Isn't that insane. Also I noticed that the back of my hair grew a lot more also because it wasn't growing as fast as the front of my hair. After bleaching my hair, then dying it back black, it went through a lot and the back of my hair broke off a lot. I tried to maintain it good in order for it to grow more but it just wasn't doing it. However after I started using the pills, I noticed that the back of my hair grew so much. My hair looks so much bigger to. I'm going to keep using this product until the month is up and show you guys how long my hair grew! I hope you try out these products and don't forget to check out Zenwise and check out their products! From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

Em Cosmetics Winter Life: Ice Bunny Edition Review Plus Swatches

Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today I have for you another review on one of EM's limited edition palettes. The palette that I will be talking about today will be her Winter Life: Ice Buddy Edition palette. This palette was apart of her winter collection release.

What I love about this palette is that its so fun and flirty. You can put a soft look on your eyes or you can intense it and make a dramatic eye and with the two lip glosses, you have a sweet look. The shadows are very soft and pigmented too. They glide on easily and I believe will blend just as easy as well.

The shadows are good for my skin tone but I still believe I would have to put a primer on or a white eyeshadow stick or something to get more of the colors to show up. I also love these palettes because they all come with a very black eyeshadow so you can do a soft or heavy eyeliner look if you want. The lip gloss is definitely very clear for someone with my skin tone so I can see pairing it up with a pink or nude lipstick and then putting this on top. Or if you don't want that much of a lip look, you can use this by itself.

What I love most about this limited edition palettes, is that you basically have your whole makeup look into one, not including foundation or anything. You have all your eyeshadows, an eyeshadow to use as a liner, something for your lips and for your cheeks. It's the perfect grab and go makeup palette that you can use even when you're in a hurry. Just bring it with you and do a little touch up. Have you bought this palette? Did you like it? If so leave a comment down below and let me know how you like it. From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

Em Cosmetics Valentine Life: Seductress Edition Review Plus Swatches

Tuesday, January 20, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today I have a review for you from one of Em Cosmetics, which is Michelle Phan's makeup line. Today I will be showing you swatches and reviewing her Valentine Life Seductress Edition palette.

I also have swatches of this color on my arms that I will show you later. Overall I think that the concept idea about this is very cool. You have soft, sweet colors to wear on your eyelids and then you have the option of wearing a matte red lip or putting a darker plus lip gloss on top of it.

I think this is the perfect palette for when you want soft eyes and a nice bold lip. You can even use the color admire me or black sparks in order to deepen up the link. What I love about this palette is that you don't have to use every single color and you can pretty much create whatever you think will look nice. I think that versatility that comes with having palettes like this.

I do have to say without a primer, it's hard for the color to show up on my skin tone. Since I am a dark tone too the bronzer isn't as bronzed as I would like it for my skin. It still gives a beautiful glow to. The lipstick is so smooth and the lip gloss isn't super sticky as well. The shadows feel very soft and blend in very smooth. This is definitely a palette to get if you're looking to do a romantic look. Isn't this just lovely. Have you bought any of Michelle Phan products? If so, leave a comment down below telling me what you got! From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

J. Cat Beauty Wonder Lip Paints Review and Swatches

Sunday, January 18, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today I have a review for you for J. Cat Beauty's wonder lip paint. I was able to try this product out through Ipsy and then purchase some more through an IpsyMe offer. I was even able to find a store around me that sells these lip paints.

First I'm going to show you the swatches on my arm and then I will show swatches for each individual lip paint. What I like about the formula of these lip paints are that they are so minty and fresh. They really do "paint" onto your lips which is the cool thing.

One thing I would suggest is to use a lip liner with this products because it can tend to get runny. Another thing is that the darker colors tend to stain, even my hands, so you need to be very careful when applying the product. It lasted me all day with just a touch up maybe one or twice. The only one that didn't have too much of a color payoff, was 2 impossible thing. It didn't really show up that well, you could still see some of my natural lip color so I highly suggest using a red lip liner if you're going to wear that one. Other than that, I really enjoyed these lip paints and even though it's a bother to put on sometimes, the color is great and I just love the formula. You can keep it straight on for the full color effect or you can pat it off a bit to give it a cool matte look. However you wear it is totally up to you and for $5, I think that this is a great product. Now on to the rest of the swatches.

There's all the swatches that I have. If you guys like this type of post let me know in the comments down below and I can do that with more of my makeup collections. From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!
