Ipsy Love: Ipsy's February 2015 Glam Bag

Wednesday, February 18, 2015

Hey everyone,

I was surprised on how many of you view and liked my blog post on Ipsy's January Glam Bag, that I just had to share with you my thoughts on February's Glam Bag. This theme was Ipsy Love and it was definitely a hit and miss for me.

This month feature products from Cargo Cosmetics, Joya, Luxie Beauty, ModelCo, 'Tini Beauty, China Glaze, Eva NYC, Mitchell and
Peach, City Color Cosmetics, GlamGo, NYX, Hada Labo Tokyo, "Pencil Me in" Cosmetics, Hey Honey, Medusa's Makeup, and Emite Cosmetics.

The products that I got were from Cargo, Joya, Luxie Beauty, ModelCo, and 'Tini Beauty.

I loved the bag it came in. I think it was super cute and adorable for Valentine's Day. It was probably one of my most favorite bags that I will actually use to put my makeup in.

I loved ALL of the products except the lip gloss. I hate lip gloss and this is definitely not a color that will fit my skin tone. I think this is where Ipsy messed up my bag a bit.

ModelCo Blush - Peach Bellini

The first product that I was very excited to try was this peach blush from ModelCo. I was looking forward to getting this blush, that as soon as I got my glam bag on Valentine's day, I tried it on. It's probably going to be my go to blush now because I can put it on without worrying that it's too heavy or that it doesn't fit my makeup. It's one of those pieces that you can pretty much pair with anything and still get a great look out of it. It's very soft and pigmented, so your brush will pick up a lot. Since it does pick up so well, you can easily put too much of this product on. As you can see on my skin tone, it brings a warmness back to my face and I love to pair with with my coral type bronzer. Both have beautiful gold shimmer in it to give you that extra glow.

Luxie Beauty Angled brush - 504

This product was definitely what I was most excited to get from my glam bag. I love brushes and when I saw that there was going to be a brush in the glam bag, I quickly did everything to see my glam room early so that I can see if I was getting this product. I love how easily this picks up products and it blends so effortlessly as well. All you need is a few swipes and your blush or bronzer is on perfection. I love the rose gold around it so much that I just had to get the IPSYME offer of another 5 of their brushes. Just using this one brush, I could tell that the quality was really good and well.

Cargo Cosmetics lip gloss in Anguilla

This was my least favorite product out of all them. I don't know why I still get lip glosses in my bag when I click that I do not like lip gloss. For me, lip gloss is way to sticky and I just don't like how it feels on my lips. I was a little optimistic about it however and thought that maybe if I tried it on, it would look better. It did not. I looked like an extra version of Nicki Minaj with this lip gloss on. It's definitely not the color for me and I wouldn't buy a product like this. It doesn't matter the brand either, most lip glosses, I will not wear. I will be giving this product a bad review just so I won't get any lip gloss anymore.

#1 Joya Perfume

What I absolutely LOVE about this mini roll on perfume is that it works to enhance your natural smell. So it may smell differently on you than it does me or any other girl. I also like that it really isn't heavy at all and rolling on a little on your wrist and behind your ear is all you need. For me it gives off a sweet but sensual smell. It isn't too fruity or too much like expensive perfume either. As soon as you roll it on, the scent just comes and if you smell good (lol jk we all do) the perfume will smell heavenly. I actually prefer putting this perfume on over my Chanel perfume. Crazy isn't it?

'Tini Beauty eyeshadow in Pearl Fizz

This is probably my favorite eyeshadow of all time. It's so beautiful yet so simple. You can use to high light your brown bone and you can put some on your lids just to give you a nice and sparkling affect. I like to use this when I wear winged liner that way it brighten's up my eyes without having to put loads of eyeshadow on to get a great makeup look. This would be perfect even as a highlighter if you have fair skin. It's not overpowering with the shimmer and a little bit goes a long way. This is definitely a product that I can add to my everyday makeup routine to give me that extra glow I want on my eyes. You can even pair it with some glitter liner for that extra cool affect.

Overall I LOVED this month's glam bag. The idea and products chosen were definitely for a Valentine's themed look. Everything played together and it could have made a good makeup look if it wasn't for the gloss that I didn't like... You can sign up for Ipsy free HERE and if you're interested in more reviews, I have done others in the past. Just look under review. Thank you and from one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

My go to Hair Mask

Monday, February 16, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today I have for you my go to hair mask. Most hair masks don't work to their best ability on my hair. It's hard for me to find products that actually work on my type of hair. That's why I'm really glad to show you this hair product that really works for my coarse, thick hair.

I'm really loving InstaNatural and their products. This Argan oil hair mask is another one of my favorite products. Most oils, especially coconut oil, doesn't really work well with my hair. Along with other hair masks, I have a difficult time finding a product that actually works on my hair and doesn't make it feel sticky. Most masks that I use, I have to recondition my hair afterwards because it just leaves it feeling weird and I don't like it. When I used this mask however, it still left my hair feeling soft and looking shiny.

Argan Oil Hair Mask - $17.95

This hair mask is a deep conditioner, so you can leave it on for five minutes or 20 minutes. If you want, you can put a hair cap on and sit under the dryer for 20 minutes to make it more effective as well. It has argan oil, coconut oil, japanese green tea, avocado oil, jojoba oil, shea butter, vitamin B, and other ingredients that make up the mask. The intended purpose it to restore dry hair and to make your hair shiny and soft again. Which it really does. My hair definitely feels a lot better after using this product. I generally use it once a week, and since my hair is really thick, this has about 5-6 uses for me which is really good.

Argan Oil - $17.97

I love to pair this 100% Argan oil moisturizer to my hair as well. Again, since I can't use coconut oil, argan oil is a great substitute for me. I love using this oil after I was my hair and also when I'm styling it. It's a quick way to bring moisture back without having to rewash my hair or drown it in my products. My curly hair actually looks really well when I use this product! You're getting a good bang for your buck with this product because all you really need is a few pumps, or even less depending on your hair type. You can even use this to moisturize your skin too which is a plus. You get a product that is 100% organic and it's a multipurpose product.

Have you tried any of Instanatural's products before? Let me know in the comments down below. I'm really starting to love this brand and some of their products. From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

My go to facial mask

Tuesday, February 10, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today I have for you my go to facial mask. I never really used a facial mask before but after trying this Dead Sea Mud Mask from InstaNatural, I'm convinced that facial masks are the way to go.

Dead Sea Mud Mask - $25.77

First let me start off with some back information on what is inside this makeup mask. It's an all natural detoxifier and purifier with contents from the Dead Sea. From the Mediterranean, there are many minerals that are beneficial to the skin. Such as potassium, sodium, magnesium, and calcium. It works my removing excess oil, dirt, and toxins from your skin. It's good for acne, pimples, and blackheads and can even restore your skin tone. Did you know that you can even use this to soothe body aches and pains?

What I love about this is that you're really getting a bang for your buck. There is so much product in the container, 16 oz and a little goes a long way. As you can see, you first have to put a night thin layer of the product all around your face. Watch out for you eyes though, you don't want to get it too close to your face. The next step is to let dry for 10-15 minutes. I find that if you put too much on, it will not fully dry in the time that it is supposed to. When it dries, it gets hard so be prepared for your face to start feeling a little stiff. After that, you're supposed to wash it off in circular motions. I find that it brings the product back into the first start where you put it on and you're really rubbing it in while also washing it off. It's a great feeling on your skin and you want to take your time with this because you don't want to rub too hard or not get all of the product off your face.

When I took the mask off, my face instantly looked more fresh and felt baby smooth. Usually when I may use a mask or a facial scrub, I find that they really dry out my face to point that I feels really bad if I don't put moisturizer on. However with this product, I noticed that face still felt moisturized and smooth. I woke up the next morning to a refreshed face that looked brighter as well. I love this product and it's only intended to use once a week and I think that it's the next step in my beauty regime to keeping my face looking fresh and young. I loved how it felt on my skin and I love how it my skin felt afterwards. It's definitely a product to invest in and it can be really beneficial to your skin. Have you tried this product before? Have you ever tried a product with ingredients from the Dead Sea? Let me know in the comments down below. From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

JustFab: Ethan Review

Sunday, February 8, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today I have a new post for you on my JustFab bag called Ethan. This is truly a beautiful bag and I wanted to share it all with you today.

This bag was actually way bigger than I expected it to be. The picture shows it looking pretty big but not as big as it is in person. The texture of the bag is so smooth and the handle is even big enough for me to put around my shoulder. There is a zipper in the front and the back which is very handy.

The inside of the bag is leopard or cheetah print, whichever you identify it as. The inside is really big as well. There is enough space for me to put my wallet, journal, makeup bag, notebook, and 13 inch macbook pro inside. I'm still able to zip it to.

I can honestly say that I love and adore this bag. It is the best bag that I have ever used. The design is chic enough to wear with any outfit and the style is so clean and classic that I can pretty much wear it for any season. I was looking for a new bag for school because I do not like to carry a purse and a backpack. I like to carry all my things at once and this was the perfect bag to do so. Usually the bags are too big, but this bag is big enough without looking bulky and chunky. I really enjoy how it feels on my shoulder and I can carry this bag around all day. You even carry it on your arm if you wish to do so. Without anything in it, it isn't too heavy and it is still manageable with all my things inside of it. I love this bag and I highly recommend this bag if you're carry a lot of things you need a purse that is chic and efficient. Have you ever tried bags from JustFab before? Let me know in the comment down below! From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!
