I live for planners.  If you check out my last planner post, you would know I LOVE The Happiness Planner. After using this planner for a year, I had to get the Peony Planner. 

The Peony Planner is as if you meshed together the most luxurious binder with planner essentials, plus more. It features a magnetic closure and it's made from vegan leather. It's a six ring binder that has a 3 internal pockets, plus stickers! Who doesn't love sticker sheets?

The planner comes in a beautiful box, matching the shade of the planner that you chose. The color options include Black and black interior with rose gold details, Peach and peach interior with gold details and Blue and blue interior and silver details.  

You can either buy the dated or undated planner. I chose to buy the dated 2018 planner. The little details of the planner are well thought out and it adds a sense of relaxation when it comes to planning your day/month. 

The gold detail is probably my favorite part of the planner. The inserts came without the month stickers, which I put on myself. It was fun and crafty that made me feel like I had a part in creating my own planner. I also put together the planner as well.

 The only downside to the planner, is if you put the whole year into the binder, it won't close properly. However, to solve that, you can keep your box and store half of the year in the box and keep the other half in the planner until it's time to switch it. That way, you don't mess up your pages and you'll already have the other half of the year together and it will be easy to switch out. 

As with the original Happiness Planner, the Peony Planner also features your yearly and monthly overview and daily dated pages with daily quotes. It includes monthly goal settings for your work and personal life and positive self talk for yourself. You can reflect on the end of the month as well, reflecting on how you felt and what you worked on/need to work on. 

The planner also includes stickers and printables where you can reflect on your goals and other various things. This planner is to help you to be more mindful and grateful in your day to day life, thus making it the "Happiness Planner". 

This was a great planner to get as you can buy the inserts every year, instead of buying a new planner. I truly believe in positive self talk and mindfulness so I believe this is a great essential item. Welcome back to my blog. It's been a while since I put a blog post and I wanted to start this new year nice and fresh. More blog posts, MORE reviews, and hopefully more giveaways. Today I wanted to share with you my new Happiness Planner. 

This planner is a little pricey retailing at $56. I thought that this was a great planner because it really adheres to what you want to do on a daily basis. We'll be getting into more details of the blog as we go along, but I thought it would be a really helpful addition to my life in 2017. Simply because it's going to help me work on my habits more and try to be a more positive person throughout the year by setting up goals and schedules for your day and other added bonuses! 

When I orginally went to purchase this planner, I was thinking to myself... Really $56 just for a planner? But when you look at the details and what the planner actually comes with, you see the real value in the product that you are purchasing. So now I'm going to tell you what you get in this planner and the added details the planner has as well. 

To start off, there are a few different color choices you can go for when purchasing your planner, you can also choose which type of planner you want. I opted for the Jan-Dec 2017 planner, so that's what I'll be talking about. The color choices are Pink (Gold), Mint (Rose Gold), Black (Rose Gold), and Serenity & Rose Quartz (Rose Gold). The front of the planner has a TriFold color layout with the main color being centered on top and white/gold on the bottom. The rings of the planner are Rose Gold along with the trim of the two right corners, the text on the front, and the text of the month dividers as well. A very beautiful, yet simple touch. You can also opt to add a pen set or notebooks for extra money, which I did not opt for.

You can reflect more on your life and your habits, what you want to change, and learn to focus on things that you cannot change. The planner also has daily quotes for you to read and bonus quotes as well!

Overall, I think this is the perfect planner because it has everything you want in an inspirational book plus a planner. You're getting more than just the planner and you're also getting added things as well. You don't have to print out the printables yourself and they are on very fine paper, The pen runs so smoothly and the binders are perfect for keeping your place in the book. It definitely helps you to think about the more positives in your life while helping you to establish a healthier and productive lifestyle by having goals and tasks to do. I think this is the perfect planner if you're looking to really work hard throughout the year and you need something to help you stay grounded and something to help keep you going. All About Purlisse

Hey everyone,

 In today's blog post, I'm going to telling you my thoughts on Purlisse. You can say that Purlisse is an Asian inpsired skin care brand. Combined with French skin technology, this brand brings you simple yet effective products to keep your skin looking its best.

Purlisse was kind enough to send me these products and I've tested them out for over a month, so my review is completely authetic and as real as can be. I was sent over the 2 face masks, 2 moisturizers, a BB cream, a facial cleanser, and a lip nourisher. I'm going to be sharing with you my full thoughts on these products. 

4-1 Gentle Soy Milk Cleanser - By far my favorite product that I got out of all of the products. This Soy Milk Cleanser has a combination of soy milk, soy protein, whole oat and white tea. This cleanser is also a doubled use product, because it can also take your makeup off as well. What I loved about it, was that it really did take majority of my makeup off when I used it. I only had a problem with heavy duty mascaras, that I had to follow up with a makeup wipe. Other than that, it really washed away my makeup while also taking away the dirt and oil. It has definitely been my favorite product and I used it completely for the month. It's done. I salvaged as much as I could out of this bad boy. It left my face feeling firm, which was good for night. That's also a plus, because using it at night really leaves your face refreshed for the next morning. Being that I used this every night....  literally, every single night. It defnintely feels like a product that is worth your buck. You would use your normal sized amount of cleanser. It doesn't form and when you put it on your face..... oh boy you're gonna love the feeling. 

BB Tinted Moist Cream with SPF 30  - This product that I got, I actually requested because I wanted to see how this BB cream would hold up with my skin tone. If you read my Current Skincare Routine blog posts, you would know that I am currently on Retin A, which requires me to use an SPF moisturizer throughout the day. So I was very happy to get this BB cream that has an added bonus of 30 SPF. We'll talk about their moisturizer that has SPF too later ;). This BB cream is said to give you a natural finish while diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, it has a rich moisturizer with skin perfecting color, and it's approved for all skin types. You can also wear this BB cream under your foundation as well. I thought this BB cream was pretty nice. It was light weight and it barely felt like you anything on your skin. I was able to blend it out into my skin, it just washed me out a little bit being that I'm more tan. This is perfect for me when the weather is just coming out after the winter, and the sun is out more. Since I do tan in the summer, this is something I would have to use underneath my foundation. I can always mix it with another BB cream as well for added bonus. I love the plus that it has SPF in it because that is certainly a great way to protect your skin from the sun's harsh ways. 

Pur Moist - One of the moisturizers that I got was this Pur Moist hydra-balance moisturizer. This product has white tea, vitamin E, and french marine plants combined into it. This moisturizer is more of gel consistency but it feels like a cream when you put it on and it really absorbs into the skin well. This moisturizer is perfect for your night time routine as it will help to hydrate your face over night. This product is also for all skin types, including sensitive which is what I have. This wasn't a heavy feeling moisturizer when you put it on. It kind of feels like a serum, but thicker. I love how you can use a little bit of product and moisturize your whole face. I also like to bring this down to my neck and upper chest area, so that I'm hydrating those areas as well. That is very important to keep up with. This moisturizer even has blue lotus that is like an antioxidant for your skin to fight against free radicals. Basically meaning, it's going to help your skin nourish its cells and help to make them nice and your skin plump. 

Pur Protect - So this was the moisturizer I was talking about before. This essential daily moisturizer also has 30 SPF in it, which I love to use in the morning. This moisturizer has white tea, soy protein, and algae extracts to help give you a nice protective surface on your face from the sun. The consistency of this moisturizer is a little thicker and more white than the Pur moist, although they both feel the same when applying on the skin. You can sort of feel the SPF in this moisturizer, but it isn't a really thick and sticky feeling like a normal SPF sunscreen would be. This again, is for all skin types including sensitive. This is perfect to use as a base for your makeup, because you're not only protecting your face, but you're hydrating it as well. That's exactly what you want to do for a nice fresh face for the day, especially in the summer. This product is also infused with blue lotus as well to give you the added benefits your skin needs. 

AND did I forget to add that a little goes a long way with both of these moisturizers. I've been using them for a month and I still have at least half of it left. 

Pur Lip Comfort - Boy did I feel like Lil Mamma and my lip gloss was popping when I had this stuff on. Ever wanted the comfort of wearing a nice soothing lip blam while also have a nice shine like you're wearing your favorite lip gloss from 8th grade? Yea, that pretty much sums of how I feel about this Pur Lip Comfort. This has mango and shea butters, jojoba and rice bran oils and vitamin E to really hydrate and lock in the moisture. This really saved my lips when I swatched my Ofra Lip Collection.  This really nourishes your lips and give it back its baby smooth surface. I absolutely love this stuff and I'm trying so hard to use it because I'm almost completely gone with it. 

Blue Lotus and White Tea treatment sheet mask - Who doesn't love a good sheet mask? I know I do. I was so excited to try this one out. This is said to improve your skins texture, brighten and firm the skin, that gives you a healthy and youthful looking complexion. You can use this treatment hot or cold. If your face is feeling puffy, just leave the mask in the fridge for a few hours before your use it. To get a deeper feel of the ingredients, place this mask in hot water to really open up your pores and soak everything in. Make sure that your pat in the left over ingredients when you're done. I really felt a difference when I used this mask. It was just as great as the Blue Lotus and Seaweed sheet mask that I got to try. I really loved both of them and they both left my face feeling so refreshed and looking really youthful. I got a lot of compliments on my natural skin after I used this product. 

Overall, I loved all of these products that I got to try and I'm truly thankful for it. Keep in mind that all opinions are my own. They aren't influenced by others, these opinions are completely mine. These Cutex nail polish remover pads, claim to take off all 10 fingers or toes of nail polish with one swipe. They also claim to strengthen and condition your nails as well. These are perfect on the go nail polish removers because you don't need anything but the wipe to take your nail polish off! You can really use one wipe to take even dark colors, like a deep olive, off your nails. And when they say that they are soothing to use as well... They weren't lying! This has to be the best formula of nail polish remover I ever used. When using it, it doesn't dry out your cuticles or the skin around your nails. It is very conditioning to the nail and to the skin as well. I highly recommend! 

The Not Your Mother thickening spray claims to make thin hair, very voluminous as well! Me personally, I already have pretty thick hair with a lot of volume. However, the front of my hair doesn't get as much volume as the back does, so I decided to put this to the test! At first I was like, this isn't going to do anything to my hair. I mean, I already messed it up by applying it the wrong way. I just sprayed it in my roots and shook it out. The directions say the best way is to spray it into your hands and then you can put it in your hair. They want you to put it all throughout your hair but I didn't want to have a big afro at the end of the day! Okay, so I applied it and waited a while and by a half an hour later... my hair was on 100! I'm talking big Diana Ross style hair okay. It was nice but not for me, haha. This product certainly does do what it says! and it lasted into the night time, I'm talking like 11PM. So I do recommend this product for thin haired people. 

My oh my oh my. What can I say about this NUXE multi-purpose dry oil other than I love it! I love this so much. When I put this on my skin after my shower, I just wanted to roll around on my faux fur rug. My skin felt oh so baby smooth and I had a sweet scent lingering off my body. I definitely felt like a rich businesswoman with wonderful, yet expensive taste in her hygiene routine. I wish the sample size was a little bigger, but that's just me being greedy. Ah, if you want to splurge on an oil, please make it this one. You're gonna love it, especially if you love a sweet floral scent. Nothing too strong to overpower, but enough to pack a punch. This was definitely my favorite thing in the Vox box. 

I LOVED this granola bar. Yes I did. I couldn't even film an unboxing video because I ate this as soon as I finished taking the picture. I was that excited to try it and it was really that good. The oats were beautifully cooked but still nice and moist and the honey added a perfect texture without being too sweet. It was the perfect little snack that you can enjoy on your down time. And what's perfect about this, is that it's preservative free! How awesome. You definitely have to try this granola bar! 

This Secret deodorant claims to last 48 hours. I don't know if it's just me or my body, but Secret deodorant doesn't really work well for me in general. I used to use it before, but then it just stopped working for me so I really lean more towards Dove. This would be great for someone who does like Secret already. It has a sweet scent to it and applies smoothly. It just didn't last that long for me and it was easy to wash off. 

The last product I got was one of Kylie's nail polishes from Sinful Colors. I got the shade Teal Midnight. It is a nice teal but almost deep blue shade with beautiful hints of shimmering glitter. This did take about two or three coats to really bring out the color, but that's okay. The only thing is, that even with a top coat, the polish did chip a little easy. However, I am excited to see and try the many different shades! Her collection includes: creams, glitters, shimmers, mattes,speciality textures, and brights! She also has a Denim Bling collection that has 20 matte denims and holographic glitters, also shimmers! You can these at your local Walgreens. Be sure to check it out!

October 15 Glam Bag: Alter Ego 

The products I got were Royal and Langnickel standard eyeshadow shade brush, The Balm Cosmetics Meet Matte long lasting liquid lipstick in Committed, Beauty Without Cruelty no scent body and hand lotion, It Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5 in 1 mascara, and Nourish Organic pure hydrating argan face serum. 

It Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5 in 1 mascara

The first product I got was It Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5 in 1 mascara. It's shown to increase the volume of your lashes by 430%. It's supposed to cover your mascara, primer, growth serum, tint, and curler. The want is create so you can separate your lashes while giving them lift and oophm. It even has a ball on the tip so that you can get the smallest of your lashes or bottom lashes. I love this mascara. I already fell in love with It Cosmetics after going to Generation Beauty. I've tried their 3 in 1 tightline mascara and I was very impressed. This mascara definitely didn't let me down. Take it from someone who has very thin, sparse, and short lashes. The mascara definitely gave me volume and length so it was actually noticeable when I put on my sort of thick eyeliner as well. I always have trouble finding a mascara that actually shows my lashes, but I was surprised with how well my lashes came to life when I used this product. It's definitely a product that I incorporated into my everyday makeup routine.

Beauty Without Cruelty Fragrance Free Body and Hand Lotion 

The next product I got was this Beauty Without Cruelty Fragrance Free Body and Hand Lotion. This lotion contains Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Kukui Nut OIl, and Aloe Vera just to name to a few things. It's intended to moisturize, soften, and protect your skin. It's 100% vegan, cruelty and paraben free. If you want, you can even add your own essential oils to your lotion to give it a sweet scent. I love this lotion because it's perfect to take with you to class so you're not constantly smelling the room up with your product when you need to moisturize your hands. It's not too oil or too thick either so it applies very smooth and leaves your hands and bottom feeling like a baby's bottom.

Royal and Langnickel Eyeshadow Shader Brush 

The third product I got was this Royal and Langnickel Eyeshadow Shader Brush. These brushes are always color and they are 100% vegan. The are water resistant handles that even have a no slip grip! Talk about easy application ;). They're synthetic brushes that you can even use wet or dry, how awesome is that! What I love about this brush is that it isn't too fluffy. The brush overall is a little flat but it has enough bristles that you can pick up even cream eyeshadows too! I used this to apply a cream shadow on my lower lash liner for my Alter Ego look. I was able to get enough product AND apply it well. Using a patting motion helped get the payoff color very well and it was so easy to clean afterwards. I just use a little bit of baby shampoo and extra virgin olive oil.

The Balm Meet Matte Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Committed

The fourth product I got was The Balm long lasting liquid lipstick in Committed. Let me first start off by saying this isn't the best formula that I've used for liquid lipsticks. To me, it took a lot longer to dry and it had a little bit of a sticky appearance to it. It wasn't my favorite but I did really love the color. This lipstick is intended to be long wear. It has a vanilla mint flavor which smells really good. You're also able to build up the color payoff that you want. This is a pinky nude lipstick color.

Nourish Organic Argan Face Serum

The last product I got was from Nourish Organic and it's their Argan Face Serum. I never really used a serum before so I was very excited to try this! This is not only a serum but it's also intended to really hydrate your face. The Moroccan Argan oil is intended to hydrate your skin, apricot kernel oil is intended to moisturize and soften your skin, while the rose hip oil smooths the texture of your skin AND helps to even out your tone. This product is Vegan, fragrance free, and gluten free. It's also intended to brighten your skin tone, even it out, and smooth your texture. My best tip for this is to make sure you use it on a cotton ball or cotton pad. I never used a serum before so when I went to use it, it just came pouring out of the container. I would highly recommend using something to apply this to your face instead of using your hands. I loved how it made my skin feel and I used this underneath my makeup to give me a great hydrating barrier before my makeup. I don't really know how to use a serum but I'm going to start using it at night to hydrate my skin.

This was the look I came up with using all my products. As you can see the lipstick is a very nice nudish but pink lip. I used to shadow brush to apply the blue cream eyeshadow on my lower lash line. I also used It Cosmetics mascara on both my lashes and my lowers lashes but my eyeliner is pretty thick so you can't see it. This was an Alter Ego look for me because I tend to stay away from too much color especially on the eyes. I'm used to just wearing a winged eye and some dark or red lipstick. This time however, I really tried to incorporate more color by using the pink lipstick and the aqua cream shadow. This is also an Alter Ego look for me because it a different style for me. My style is more classic but with a modern twist to it so it was definitely fun to do. I loved all the products in my glam bag and I really loved this month's theme. How to get THROUGH a breakup

Today's post is going to be a little different. I'm going to be telling you how to get THROUGH a breakup because everyone knows that truly getting OVER something takes a while depending on the person. So here, I'm going to show you MY ways that helped me get THROUGH my breakup.

• Take Time To Yourself

This step shouldn't be explained, but depending on how your breakup went, you need to take time to yourself. If it was a bad breakup but you still find yourself wanting to talk to that person, then you probably need to take time to yourself to see if you actually miss that person or just miss having someone to speak to in general. Often times we tell ourselves that we can't do anything without said person, but when push comes to shove, we still manage to do things ourself! It's going to be so freeing to focus on yourself and only yourself. When you get the time to really think about yourself and your goals again, anything can happen.

• Write out your feelings

I know, this sounds so cliche but it works. Get a journal or a notebook and take your time to write about how you feel about everything pertaining to the breakup. Often times there's a lot of questions that go unanswered and instead of trying to talk to the person about the issues you're having, write them out. Sometimes we can answer our own questions just be sitting down and really thinking. Maybe all the signs were there but you didn't see them yourself. This is the time to get all your feelings out about the person. Bad and good. Remember, you're writing to yourself so the only response your going to get is your own. Take this time to write about how you truly feel and the weight will be lifted off your chest. 

• Spend time with your friends

This step might sound cliche as well, but you really want to get back out there with hanging out with friends. Especially if you're feeling in a place of doubt and alone. You can take this time to get back to your friendships if you have been neglectful to them during your breakup. Remember, it's okay to take time yourself, but you don't want your friends to feel like your leaving them in the dark. You don't have to get too into details of your breakup if you want to talk about it, but let them know that you're okay and make sure you can reach out to them if your feeling down. Most of the time, our friendships last longer than our relationships so you don't want to harm that relationship either. You're important, but so are your friends. 

• Get back into hobbies

This is a step that will help you focus back on your future and your goals. Take this time to focus on what you really want to do. Were you writing a blog but gotten into a slump? Find some inspiration and jump back into it! It's crazy with the way positivity shines through the darkness. I know you're feeling down now, but getting back to what your passionate about is really going to help you. You never know, there can be opportunities out there that are just waiting for you! So go ahead and get back into what makes you truly happy. Don't let the failure of your relationship diminish what you're really passionate about as a person. Remember, you can control how you let someone make you feel. Instead of feeling down in the dumps, even though that's okay for a while, take this time to be positive and look at all the good in your life. 

• Cry it out

This is the most important thing that helped me with after my breakup. I took the time to actual get my feelings together and cry out all the hurt and pain. Whatever you're feeling, cry it out. Even if you're happy. Cry out the fact that you either moved on from a harmful relationship or that you two ended on a good note even though your upset about it. Don't let anyone tell you that you should hold in your tears. One of the healthiest things to do is to acknowledge our feelings and let them out in a healthy way. Crying may not seem the best right now, but trust me. You don't want to harbor your feelings inside because then you're just going to explode one day and that's going to be a session you don't want. You want to be able to control how much you cry and for how long. So take some time to yourself in your room if you have the privacy or take a bubble bath and let your feelings out there.

• Talk to said person when YOU'RE ready

If you want to keep a friendship with your ex, make sure it's when you're ready. Nothing is harder than trying to be friends you're still in love with. I know that it's going to take some time to get out of your in love feelings, but you really need to take time to yourself and get back to the friendship when you're ready to. If they are a good person overall, they will understand that you need the space. You don't have to quit talking to them cold turkey, but tone it down some. If you want to stop talking to them cold turkey, you can do that too, after you write out all your feelings. That way you don't get the urge to try and talk to them. You want to show yourself that you will be okay without that person and if you truly want a friendship. This period will help to let you know if you had a healthy or unhealthy relationship with that person and if a friendship is even worth it. Again, an understanding person will let you have the time to yourself. Someone who only cares about them self will be mad at the idea. Just as long as you remember, now is the time for YOU. Do what makes you happy and no one else. If it means not talking to that person again, then so be it. You have your whole life to meet someone great.  

Remember, it will be okay and you WILL get through it. It's okay to be sad for a while or even angry, but don't let that consume you. You want to find a healthy way to help you get THROUGH your breakup and not OVER it because again, it takes a while to truly get over your feelings. I'm still in the process of getting "over" my feelings for my ex, however I'm getting THROUGH it in a healthy way.
