My Skin Care Essentials

Tuesday, November 3, 2015

Hey everyone,

In today's blog post I'll be going over my Skin Care routine with you all! I always get comments on how my skin looks good, with and without makeup, so today I'm going to be showing you some products that I have been loving!

Before I start giving you my day to day skin care routine, I want to express to you that it's not just about having great products to take care of your skin. One of the most important things that you can do for your skin is to drink enough WATER. Yes, water. It's so tedious to say, but water is definitely your first step to get skin. Next to moisturizing and taking your makeup off every night. If you're not taking care of your body in the inside, how do you expect for it to look on the outside, right? So my number one tip to you, is to make sure you're drinking enough water to keep not only your skin by your whole by hydrated. Now lets get into this.

1. Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal cleanser - $19
2. Skin Inc Pure Revival Peel - $55
3. Belief Moisturizing Bomb - $38
4. Ponds wet cleansing towelettes - $4.69
5. NaoBay Milk Cleanser - $28.40
6. Naobay Toner - $21.90
7. NaoBay moisturizer - $36
8. Natural Organic Serum - $15.43

Okay... I know you're probably looking at the prices of some of these products and you're thinking "Leann really?!". I know, I know. But keep in mind that the ones I have, aside from the pond's wipes, are not full size! Half of the products I got through Gen Beauty and the other Half I purchased through Ipsy. I just wanted to put the price of the full size item in case anyone was interested in purchasing any of the products I have mention. Make sure you shop around though to see if you can find the product for cheaper or if you can find deluxe sized ones to try out! So lets get started.

The first thing that I like to do in the morning to really wake me up and refresh my face, is to use this Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Cleanser. The reason I like to use this in the morning and not the night is because I think it really prepares my skin for a long days worth of wearing makeup. It helps to take away and excess dirt and oil from my face while giving it a deep cleanser. It makes my face feel pretty smooth afterwards. It's definitely a product to splurge on.

Sometimes if my skin is really feeling clogged up, I like to use this Skin Inc pure revival peel. What this basically is is a creamy textured peel that you apply all over your face, or areas where you feel you need it. Then you let it sit for a while and gently rub the product with your hands. It's going to be cool because you're going to able to feel all the dead skin coming off your face! It amazes me every time I use it because I didn't think I'd have that much dead skin on my face! It's definitely something I would use in the morning again because it will prepare my skin for wearing makeup. If you think it may be too harsh, you can always use this the night before. If I had the money to splurge, I would definitely buy the full sized product, so worth it!

Let. Me. Tell. You. About. This. Gem. Right. Here... If you can't tell, I'm excited. This is probably one of my FAVORITE skin care products that I ever used. I don't know about you, but I was really, I mean really bad at moisturizing my skin. I never had skin issues so I always thought, "How important can moisturizing really be and what benefits will it ACTUALLY bring my skin." Man. Was I missing out or what?! Belif is a Korean Skin brand and I had the pleasure of getting some samples from them at Generation Beauty. This is a very creamy but not oily moisturizer and I love to put this on in the morning before I do my makeup. Before I started moisturizing my skin, my foundation and concealer would always flake off. I had a lot of dry spots on my face and my makeup just didn't look good. This product has definitely been a game changer for me. It makes my face feel oh so baby smooth and hydrates it very well. Not pictured above because I couldn't find it, but they also have a moisturizer called Aqua Bomb. Which is literally a light blue moisturizer PACKED with hydration. I love to use that one when my skin is feeling extra dry but the moisturizing bomb is perfect for an everyday use.

So next part of my routine consists of taking my makeup off at the end of the day. That starts first with wiping my makeup off. While this may not be makeup wipes, these are my favorite wipes to use. They take my makeup off so well that I use them all the time. I love buying them from BJ's and it comes in a 5 pack with a travel pack as well. Perfect for on the go. My tip when taking off heavy eye makeup and lipstick is to press the wipe on my skin for a while and then wipe away. That way, you're allowing the wipe's product to seep in your skin and really take off your makeup. I also find that the gentler your hand when wiping, the more effectively it'll come off. You don't need to rub really hard because then you're not getting the full power of the wipe. The more gentler you are, the more easily your makeup will come off.

Lately for my night time skin care routine, I've been using this combination of NaoBay products. I've been using their milk cleanser, oxygenating moisturizer, and toner. After I take my makeup off, I love to wash my face while I'm taking a shower. I do this because I let the steam of the heat open up my pores and after taking care of my hair and body, I wash my face. I love to use hot water during my shower and then cool water to wash off my body wash, conditioner, and face wash. Colder water is better to use because it locks in your pores and hair moisture. Which is good for your skin and your hair to retain moisture. This cleanser has been leaving my face feeling refreshed and smooth at the end of the day. It's a gentle cleanser and has a sweet smell to it that lathers when you wash your face. The intention of the cleanser is to improve the elasticity of your skin with their milk like texture and oils that are added.

Okay, so I admit, I'm not too familiar with using toners, but my dermatologist recommended that I started using one to help my skin tone being uneven. Not only does it even the tone of your skin, but it also helps to purify it as well. I use this before my moisturizer because I feel it gets the product in first that way my skin can really absorb it. I like to wait just a few minutes after I put it on to put on my moisturizer. I like to use this with a cotton pad, but you can definitely use CLEAN hands for this as well. I have been noticing a difference in my skin and I'm going to continue using it.

After I get out of the shower, I love to moisturize my skin as soon as I get out. (After using Toner) That's also the best way to capture the moisture back into your skin. For my face, I've been using NaoBay's Oxygenating Cream Moisturizer. This moisturizer has a combination of oils and avocado in order to restore your face moisture and to hydrate it. It has a creamy consistency and my face absorbs it very well. I've been loving to use this at night because it leaves my face feeling really refreshed in the morning. It's like my face is just absorbing all the ingredients at night leaving my face feeling amazing in the morning. I think it's soo important to hydrate your face at night. Especially after a day of wearing makeup.

When I want to give my skin that extra nourishment, I go for Nourish Organic's Argan face serum. Serums are pretty new to me too and I was able to get a sample of this product to try out. It's so soothing to put on your skin after your moisturizer. Not only will this help to moisturize your skin of course, it's also going to add some brightness to your skin to give you that perfect glow. I love to use this after my moisturizer gets absorbed by my skin. I like to use this on nights where I feel my face will be very dry or after wearing a lot of glam makeup. It's new to me but so far I like using it and I find it to help my skin feel even better in the morning.

These are my skin care essentials that I've been using lately! What are some skin care products you've been into lately? Leave a comment down below and let me know. From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

Alter Ego: Ipsy's October 2015 Glam Bag

Tuesday, October 20, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today's blog post I'm going to be sharing with you Ipsy's October glam bag: Alter Ego.

Ipsy.Com

This month glam bag was called Alter Ego so you can explore the other side of you. It feature products from It Cosmetics, The Balm, Nourish Organic, Beauty Without Cruelty, Nourish Organic, Royal and Langnickel, Aurora, MicaBeauty, Touch in Sol, Pur~Lisse, Vasanti Cosmetics, Dr. Bandt Skin Care, Lavanila Laboratories, Ayres, Coastal Scents, Aromachology, Skone Cosmetics, Eau Thermale Avene, Crown Brush, Hey Honey, Laura Geller New York, Delectable, KBShimmer, Peter Lamas, It Hair Care, Eva NYC, Girlacktik Beauty, LeeAnni Eco, Tarte, Balanced Guru, Emite Makeup, and Dose.

October 15 Glam Bag: Alter Ego

The products I got were Royal and Langnickel standard eyeshadow shade brush, The Balm Cosmetics Meet Matte long lasting liquid lipstick in Committed, Beauty Without Cruelty no scent body and hand lotion, It Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5 in 1 mascara, and Nourish Organic pure hydrating argan face serum.

It Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5 in 1 mascara

The first product I got was It Cosmetics Hello Lashes 5 in 1 mascara. It's shown to increase the volume of your lashes by 430%. It's supposed to cover your mascara, primer, growth serum, tint, and curler. The want is create so you can separate your lashes while giving them lift and oophm. It even has a ball on the tip so that you can get the smallest of your lashes or bottom lashes. I love this mascara. I already fell in love with It Cosmetics after going to Generation Beauty. I've tried their 3 in 1 tightline mascara and I was very impressed. This mascara definitely didn't let me down. Take it from someone who has very thin, sparse, and short lashes. The mascara definitely gave me volume and length so it was actually noticeable when I put on my sort of thick eyeliner as well. I always have trouble finding a mascara that actually shows my lashes, but I was surprised with how well my lashes came to life when I used this product. It's definitely a product that I incorporated into my everyday makeup routine.

Beauty Without Cruelty Fragrance Free Body and Hand Lotion

The next product I got was this Beauty Without Cruelty Fragrance Free Body and Hand Lotion. This lotion contains Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, Kukui Nut OIl, and Aloe Vera just to name to a few things. It's intended to moisturize, soften, and protect your skin. It's 100% vegan, cruelty and paraben free. If you want, you can even add your own essential oils to your lotion to give it a sweet scent. I love this lotion because it's perfect to take with you to class so you're not constantly smelling the room up with your product when you need to moisturize your hands. It's not too oil or too thick either so it applies very smooth and leaves your hands and bottom feeling like a baby's bottom.

Royal and Langnickel Eyeshadow Shader Brush
The third product I got was this Royal and Langnickel Eyeshadow Shader Brush. These brushes are always color and they are 100% vegan. The are water resistant handles that even have a no slip grip! Talk about easy application ;). They're synthetic brushes that you can even use wet or dry, how awesome is that! What I love about this brush is that it isn't too fluffy. The brush overall is a little flat but it has enough bristles that you can pick up even cream eyeshadows too! I used this to apply a cream shadow on my lower lash liner for my Alter Ego look. I was able to get enough product AND apply it well. Using a patting motion helped get the payoff color very well and it was so easy to clean afterwards. I just use a little bit of baby shampoo and extra virgin olive oil.

The Balm Meet Matte Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Committed

The fourth product I got was The Balm long lasting liquid lipstick in Committed. Let me first start off by saying this isn't the best formula that I've used for liquid lipsticks. To me, it took a lot longer to dry and it had a little bit of a sticky appearance to it. It wasn't my favorite but I did really love the color. This lipstick is intended to be long wear. It has a vanilla mint flavor which smells really good. You're also able to build up the color payoff that you want. This is a pinky nude lipstick color.

Nourish Organic Argan Face Serum
The last product I got was from Nourish Organic and it's their Argan Face Serum. I never really used a serum before so I was very excited to try this! This is not only a serum but it's also intended to really hydrate your face. The Moroccan Argan oil is intended to hydrate your skin, apricot kernel oil is intended to moisturize and soften your skin, while the rose hip oil smooths the texture of your skin AND helps to even out your tone. This product is Vegan, fragrance free, and gluten free. It's also intended to brighten your skin tone, even it out, and smooth your texture. My best tip for this is to make sure you use it on a cotton ball or cotton pad. I never used a serum before so when I went to use it, it just came pouring out of the container. I would highly recommend using something to apply this to your face instead of using your hands. I loved how it made my skin feel and I used this underneath my makeup to give me a great hydrating barrier before my makeup. I don't really know how to use a serum but I'm going to start using it at night to hydrate my skin.

This was the look I came up with using all my products. As you can see the lipstick is a very nice nudish but pink lip. I used to shadow brush to apply the blue cream eyeshadow on my lower lash line. I also used It Cosmetics mascara on both my lashes and my lowers lashes but my eyeliner is pretty thick so you can't see it. This was an Alter Ego look for me because I tend to stay away from too much color especially on the eyes. I'm used to just wearing a winged eye and some dark or red lipstick. This time however, I really tried to incorporate more color by using the pink lipstick and the aqua cream shadow. This is also an Alter Ego look for me because it a different style for me. My style is more classic but with a modern twist to it so it was definitely fun to do. I loved all the products in my glam bag and I really loved this month's theme. It was perfect for me to try out new brands and I just love how great Ipsy is. Remember you can sign for Ipsy by going to their site. It's only $10 a month and you get a great glam bag too. I forgot to mention, the bag is gold on one side and a shiny black on the other. The bags also reflect the theme of the month and that's the best part. So from one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

How to make you hair feel like it's on Cloud 9

Tuesday, October 13, 2015

Hey everyone,

In today's blog post, I'm going to be sharing with you how you can make your hair feel like it's on cloud 9. Yes, if you know me then you know I LOVE Argan oil. I mean, I couldn't live without my Argan oil and my Argan oil deep conditioner. I'm always looking for new products to try and test out.

I'm going to introduce to you a new brand that I have come across. The company name is called Hask, and they have developed many different lines of hair care products for your needs. There's a whole bunch of different sets that they have to try but what I got was the Argan Oil Hair Treatment set. It's a 4 piece set that comes with shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, and leave in oil. How perfect can that get? Usually when you start a new hair system, I find that it's best to use the whole line of products. That way, you're getting the best out of each product that you use because you're using other products that were intended to use with the original product you want to use.

If you don't know, Morocco is known for having it's great Argan oil. Argan oil is becoming so popular right now that a lot of companies are starting to branch out and get into selling Argan oil products. Argan oil is known as liquid gold because of the great benefits it has for you hair. That's why I love using Argan oil. What's good about Hask is that their products are sulfate, paraben, phthalate, artificial color, drying alcohol, and gluten free! Their Argan oil set is intended to strengthen and restore your hair, it's for dry and damaged hair, and it has a citrus scent.

If you use these products as a set, I believe that they work wonderful! You can get all the benefits out of it and your hair would feel amazing. This is definitely a special treatment I would say for myself since I like to use the products together. The shampoo still had a lather too it and trust me when I say a little is all you need. It really brings out all the dirt and oil from your hair and the citrus scent is a plus. Normally I don't like using shampoos often because they make my hair feel straw like when I was it out. This shampoo though, my hair felt a little rough but still soft enough. It was the perfect start to your hair routine. Especially if you're a natural haired girl like me and shampooing your hair everyday isn't good.

I loved the conditioner as well. It didn't lather a lot, it resembled the Wen hair care products, if you tried those out before. The scent wasn't too strong either. I use the time when I have conditioner in my hair to comb it out. I was scared that I didn't put enough conditioner in but when I started to comb it out, I really felt the softness of my hair again. It was like combing silk hair. It's intended to stay in your hair for one or two minutes, but I find using the time to comb my hair is a great way to not only get the product evenly in my hair, but enough time for my hair to soak up everything the product had to offer.
By far the best deep conditioner I ever used, was this Argan oil deep conditioner. With this product, you could smell the citrus even stronger but it feels like putting butter in your hair. That's the only way I know to describe it. It was so smooth and my hair was so soft that my fingers were gliding right off of it! It was a great deep conditioner to use and I think that if you sit with this under the hair dryer for 15-20 minutes, you'll get an even better feel from it! Usually when I put deep conditioners in, I unfortunately have to also put conditioner in it again to get it back to it's smoothness. With this product, I was able to wash my hair afterwards and not have to worry about it feeling rough again or knotted up! All I had to do was finger comb my hair and it was perfect.

Of course I LOVED the hair shine oil as well too. Again, my hair felt like silk once I put this product on. The tube was enough for to put in my hair two separate times. My hair is bra strap length, so I was surprised that I didn't need to put a lot it. It was like using the Argan oil products on my hair before actual Argan oil, really helped it to soak in better at the end. The products worked wonderful together and my hair just felt great overall. I didn't have to wait too long for it to dry and when it dried, my hair felt so smooth and clean. It literally felt like it was clouds floating in the air, hence the title of this blog post! If you're going to try out anything I recommend, please check out this product from Hask. I loved using them and I will be purchasing that deep conditioner again! Make sure to check them out here! From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

How to get THROUGH a breakup

Friday, October 2, 2015

Hey everyone,

Today's post is going to be a little different. I'm going to be telling you how to get THROUGH a breakup because everyone knows that truly getting OVER something takes a while depending on the person. So here, I'm going to show you MY ways that helped me get THROUGH my breakup.

  • Take Time To Yourself
This step shouldn't be explained, but depending on how your breakup went, you need to take time to yourself. If it was a bad breakup but you still find yourself wanting to talk to that person, then you probably need to take time to yourself to see if you actually miss that person or just miss having someone to speak to in general. Often times we tell ourselves that we can't do anything without said person, but when push comes to shove, we still manage to do things ourself! It's going to be so freeing to focus on yourself and only yourself. When you get the time to really think about yourself and your goals again, anything can happen.

  • Write out your feelings
I know, this sounds so cliche but it works. Get a journal or a notebook and take your time to write about how you feel about everything pertaining to the breakup. Often times there's a lot of questions that go unanswered and instead of trying to talk to the person about the issues you're having, write them out. Sometimes we can answer our own questions just be sitting down and really thinking. Maybe all the signs were there but you didn't see them yourself. This is the time to get all your feelings out about the person. Bad and good. Remember, you're writing to yourself so the only response your going to get is your own. Take this time to write about how you truly feel and the weight will be lifted off your chest.

  • Spend time with your friends
This step might sound cliche as well, but you really want to get back out there with hanging out with friends. Especially if you're feeling in a place of doubt and alone. You can take this time to get back to your friendships if you have been neglectful to them during your breakup. Remember, it's okay to take time yourself, but you don't want your friends to feel like your leaving them in the dark. You don't have to get too into details of your breakup if you want to talk about it, but let them know that you're okay and make sure you can reach out to them if your feeling down. Most of the time, our friendships last longer than our relationships so you don't want to harm that relationship either. You're important, but so are your friends.
  • Get back into hobbies
This is a step that will help you focus back on your future and your goals. Take this time to focus on what you really want to do. Were you writing a blog but gotten into a slump? Find some inspiration and jump back into it! It's crazy with the way positivity shines through the darkness. I know you're feeling down now, but getting back to what your passionate about is really going to help you. You never know, there can be opportunities out there that are just waiting for you! So go ahead and get back into what makes you truly happy. Don't let the failure of your relationship diminish what you're really passionate about as a person. Remember, you can control how you let someone make you feel. Instead of feeling down in the dumps, even though that's okay for a while, take this time to be positive and look at all the good in your life.

  • Cry it out
This is the most important thing that helped me with after my breakup. I took the time to actual get my feelings together and cry out all the hurt and pain. Whatever you're feeling, cry it out. Even if you're happy. Cry out the fact that you either moved on from a harmful relationship or that you two ended on a good note even though your upset about it. Don't let anyone tell you that you should hold in your tears. One of the healthiest things to do is to acknowledge our feelings and let them out in a healthy way. Crying may not seem the best right now, but trust me. You don't want to harbor your feelings inside because then you're just going to explode one day and that's going to be a session you don't want. You want to be able to control how much you cry and for how long. So take some time to yourself in your room if you have the privacy or take a bubble bath and let your feelings out there.

  • Talk to said person when YOU'RE ready
If you want to keep a friendship with your ex, make sure it's when you're ready. Nothing is harder than trying to be friends you're still in love with. I know that it's going to take some time to get out of your in love feelings, but you really need to take time to yourself and get back to the friendship when you're ready to. If they are a good person overall, they will understand that you need the space. You don't have to quit talking to them cold turkey, but tone it down some. If you want to stop talking to them cold turkey, you can do that too, after you write out all your feelings. That way you don't get the urge to try and talk to them. You want to show yourself that you will be okay without that person and if you truly want a friendship. This period will help to let you know if you had a healthy or unhealthy relationship with that person and if a friendship is even worth it. Again, an understanding person will let you have the time to yourself. Someone who only cares about them self will be mad at the idea. Just as long as you remember, now is the time for YOU. Do what makes you happy and no one else. If it means not talking to that person again, then so be it. You have your whole life to meet someone great.

Remember, it will be okay and you WILL get through it. It's okay to be sad for a while or even angry, but don't let that consume you. You want to find a healthy way to help you get THROUGH your breakup and not OVER it because again, it takes a while to truly get over your feelings. I'm still in the process of getting "over" my feelings for my ex, however I'm getting THROUGH it in a healthy way. I can't tell you how to get over your relationship but I can certainly give you tips to get through it. I hope you take this well and if there's anything you want to add, just message me! From one beauty lover to another, see you soon!

Face Fashion: Ipsy's September 2015 Glam Bag

Monday, September 28, 2015

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to my blog and in this post, I'm going to be sharing with you Ipsy's September 2015 glam bag. This month has product features from NYX, Eau Thermale Avenue, Temptu, City Color Cosmetics, TrustFund Beauty, ClariSEA, Crown Brush, TRESemme, Laneige, J.Cat Beauty, Octavio Molina Hair, Acur, Garnier Frutis, Bayberry Naturals, Vasanti Cosmetics, Pixi Beauty, Liptini, Tre'stique, Swissco, So Fresh So Clean, First Aid Beauty, Evelyn Iona Cosmetics, Glam Glow, Elizabeth Mott, Naobay Natural and Organic, Juvia's, The Balm, Not Soap Radio, and Formula X. This month's theme was called Face Fashion with the products being geared towards your fashion day out!

The first product I got was this custom NYX and Ipsy eyeshadow trio. This color is perfect for anyone who wants to do a subtle yet gorgeous smokey eye. I used the center shade as a transition color and used the darker shade as a definer in my cream. I used the lighter shade as a base. What was good about the lighter shade was that for me, it came out as more of a white highlighter. So it was perfect to use as a base and also good enough to use as a highlighter if you wanted it to be that way. The colors were easy to blend and if you use the too faced eyeshadow primer, the colors really stick and last the whole way.

Next, I got this EAU Thermale Avenue moisture mask. What I loved about this mask was how hydrating it was to your face. I put a thick application on in order to ensure that I'm getting the most of out my product. I put it on for about 15 to 20 minutes. With this face mask, when you put it on it's white, but when it dries, it dries up clear. This was a lot better than the dead sea mud mask I used because it was able to get me a lot more moisture in my face. It was perfect to pair with Cetaphil right after. I was able to get two uses out of this product only because I put a lot of my face. I loved the feel of it against my skin and my skin felt baby smooth soft right after I washed it off. This is a product that I would buy more of.

I've been dying to try Temptu products for a long time. If you don't know, Temptu really specializes in air brush makeup. Even though I don't have an air brush system, you can still use this product to your advantage. For me, I like to put this product on the back of my hand and then use a fluffy blending brush to apply it. I find that it caters to the product better and you're able to fully put the product on without anything bothering you. It blends out seamlessly and it looks flawless on tanner complexions. I was worried it wouldn't show up a lot, but it really catered to skin in a great way. It definitely complimented my skin tone so much!

The next product that I got was this City Color lipstick in the shade one night stand. The lipstick was very smooth to put it. It glides on your lips so easily, however it didn't last long like I expected. I do my makeup around 5:30-6:00 AM and by 9:00 AM, it was already coming off. I'm used to using lipsticks that last a long time during the day. Since I left it at home, I wasn't able to apply more product. It transfers to other surfaces more than other lip products. So this is good if you only need to wear lipstick for a short amount of time, but it's not something I would recommend if you're looking for a long lasting lipstick.

The last product that I got was this Trust Fund beauty nail polish in the color Elegantly Wasted. Let me start off by saying I LOVE this color of nail polish. It's that perfect purple yet periwinkle color to wear. This color would have been perfect for the spring but it's equally perfect for the fall too. It compliments my skin tone so well and I love it. I first used it by putting it on my toes and it lasts a pretty decent amount of time. However, if you're a handons person and you don't  put clear nailpolish on top, it isn't going to last that long. I put it on yesterday and I already see it chipping. So if you're going to use this product, it's best that you put a nice top coat on top to ensure it lasts long. It does have a strong smell to it but it dries pretty nice. So the advantages of this product definitely out weighs the disadvantages.

This is the makeup look I created using the items in my bag! Do you like it? Should I start posting my makeup pictures on my blog? Leave a comment down below and let me know.

Overall, I loved this month's glam bag. It definitely was Face Fashion forward, especially with the bag that they give you as well. I loved majority of the products and I wished the city color lipstick worked better for me for my long days. Remember you can sign up for Ipsy by clicking here. White Space

Saturday, September 26, 2015

Hey everyone,

In today's blog post I'm going to be sharing with you an up and coming design company called White Space. White Space was created by one of my good friends and her boyfriend. They were awesome enough to design the header on my page for my and do my signature as well. While they are up and coming, their talent is nonetheless and only getting better by the days.

They were wonderful to work with on a business aspect. The listened to exactly what I wanted in a header. Something simplistic, yet enough to grab your eye. So not only did they did create a header for me, but they gave me different options that I could choose from and sent me all the files for them so I can have them if I want to change it. They were also kind enough to see that my signature didn't match with my layout, so they created something simple but again eye catching. The process didn't take long and their business etiquette was equally  professional. I have a quote from the company explaining the idea behind their company and why they wanted to get into the business.

"In a nutshell whitespace is an agency that create relationships between clients and their target audiences. Those relationships will in return feed the business. With a collective 20+ years of experience we have come to believe that after creating the relationship you must then feed the relationship. Whitespace does this by getting peoples attention by targeting large audiences with a creative message that is very provocative in order to set the stage for a really intimate conversation which then leads to an ongoing relationship between the client and their target audiences. Whitespace does not just create logos, flyers, media kits, ETC,. We are not right-handed or left-handed, we are an ambidextrous entity that uses both hands, and a number of other appendages.
We want to ignore the rules, explore, and do what ever the hell we want; Now who's gonna be the Medici family and stand up and let us create more."

I recommend that if you're looking for a nice header or anything graphic design related, a new layout maybe, to consult with them. You can go to connect with them here. If you want to check them out Twitter and Tumblr, you can go here and here. P.S. They created the picture just for this blog post! Isn't that awesome. Definitely check them out.

Ipsy Me offer: Noyah Glass Half Full

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to my page if you're new here, my name is Leann and I love to review makeup! Today's blog post will be cover Ipsy's offer for Noyah's glass half full duo lipstick and lip gloss in Malbec.

I got these two on sale for $19.50 with free shipping, for a 42% off discount! That's what I love about being subscribe to Ipsy. We always get deals like this and we don't ever have to pay for the shipping either. How great it that?

Noted on Ipsy.com, it says how the lipstick is meant to be very pigmented and super hydrating. The lip gloss is to basically add shine and this was an ipsy exclusive red wine color that was created. The formula on the lipstick is semi matte so add that with the lip gloss and you're good to go unless lipgloss really isn't your thing. Whats great about the lipgloss is that it isn't as pigmented as the lipstick, so if you wanted to, you can wear it alone. You basically have a product that is good to wear either by themselves or together. Isn't that like a 3 in 1?!

What's also great about this brand is that they don't test on animals. They are also paraben and sulfate-free! Noyah is an all natural cosmetic line that focuses on nature for its packaging. What's also good about their packaging is that it's made out of bamboo and it's completely recyclable! Their mission is to make products that women and men can use without having to be conscious about the chemicals that can potentially end up in your mouth.

Now let me just say. I love this lipstick. The first product in both the lipstick and lipgloss is a type of oil. I forgot the exact one but that's a plus. That means that the product is mainly made up of oil. Which makes the lipstick and the lipgloss very smooth to apply. The lipstick literally feels like butter on your lips and the lip gloss.. man that lip gloss doesn't even feel like a lip gloss. It's crazy to think that it was a lip gloss because of how it didn't stick like a normal one. Instead, the lip gloss applied very smooth and it made a difference but it wasn't too dramatic where your lips look too oily. It just made the semi matte finish of the lipstick a little bit shinier and more reflective.

The pictures really don't do justice for how good the product actually looks. As you can see, the lip gloss is almost shear but it has enough color where you still getting the pay off from it. This color is actually perfect for me to use on my own because it almost matches my lip shade. Which is even more of a plus because it'll give me a nice tint without having to worry about having too much or your lips being too shiny. It was perfectly in the middle. I'm loving berry wine shades.

What I love about the lipstick too is it's ability to give you a highly pigmented color without having to worry about a lot coming off. You can easily dab your lips with a napkin or powder so it smear as much, but it definitely will still have a color payoff. When i say this lipstick lasted almost 6 hours with eating.... it came pretty darn close. I love the packaging, I love the smell, and I love the color of the lipstick. This is something I'll definitely purchase in the future. You can check out Noyah Cosmetics here and subscribe to Ipsy here. What's cool is that Noyah actually featured me on their IG! How cool is that?! From one beauty lover to another, see you soon
